Membership of marche is open to all providers of hospitality, hotels, restaurants, caterers – whether working out of their own venues or offering service from client venues, and those who offer catering from all other types of establishment – theatre or sporting venues, private hospitals or entertainment venues to name but a few. We also offer Associate membership to all businesses offering support to the hospitality sector – wholesale suppliers, professional sector, transport providers and specialist suppliers by example.

 

marche continually strives to optimize the interests of the industry and support our membership. Members and the Executive often offer free help and guidance drawn from their vast experience as leaders of the region’s industry. This support includes access to an unmatched range of contacts.

 

marche is continuously active in identifying and communicating opportunities and is pro-active promotion of the industry and lobbying on its behalf.

 

ENewsletters
marche circulates an enewsletter several times each month providing the very latest industry news and links collated into a single document for ease and quick access.

 

Website
The marche website is a continuous source of information, and includes privileged access pages for members. Additionally there are links to partner organisations. To maximise ease of communication the majority of the marche Awards administration is run through the website.

 

Specific activities include Training
marche facilitates access to modern techniques in such critical areas as staff training and team motivation. It is represented on a number of training boards including the Regional Skills Partnership. It is closely associated with the Birmingham Hotel & Catering Academy, who can secure priority training opportunities, often at
discounted rates.

marche Awards for Excellence
The annual marche Awards have become a high profile means
of promoting excellence and staff mtoivation. They generate a very positive public profile for the high standards of the region’s catering and leisure community. Full details are circulated to the Membership.

 

Regular meetings
While the interchange of intelligence and ideas between
members is on-going, marche organises regular meetings to maintain contact and momentum. There are business meetings around the Region every year giving members insight into trends and opportunities through carefully selected speakers.

 

Updates
In partnership with other organisations, marche organises seminars on issues affecting the industry – for example, legal developments – and also disseminates relevant information.

 

Social events
marche provides a spectrum of social events during the year for members, their staff and friends. These cover a wide range of tastes and interests, and where appropriate enable the industry
to contribute to relevant charitable causes.

 

Media focus
marche is the regional contact point for the media. It provides comment at local, regional and national level to newspapers, trade related publications and radio and TV.
